Jesse, or Why the Bears are Gonna Win

I just got back from a small New York adventure that portends good things for the game tomorrow. After arriving home earlier tonight, Melissa and I walked into the building and started to climb the stairs when I realized that I'd lost my phone, most likely in the cab we had just exited moments earlier.

After calling the phone (which was on vibrate) and receiving no answer, we immediately grew concerned that the phone was gone for good. But, low and behold, my phone called us back. On the other end of the line was a young women named Jesse who was fifteen blocks away. We jumped into a cab and husted over and reclaimed the phone.

So....take a bow, Jesse. Because of you, I'm flying high 14 hours before the second biggest Bears' game in my lifetime. We're gonna win, baby!!!!!

So that means if you did not recover the phone the Bears lose ??

I thought I was sick with my reading of the signs in the Cubs failed bid to reach the World Series

In answer to Adam's question in another thread...No no never never uh uh uh will I be watching live

Call me wimp, call me shrimp...

When I was young the year was 1984 or was it 1985... I was there for every play...

I have gotten older weaker and the heart just cannot take all that abuse..

I imagine the Bears being up by 4 with the Saints getting the Ball on their own 20 with 2:00 to go...

Can you say Leon Durham..part of me died that night...A lot more of me died a few years ago while watching the Cubbies lose game 7 to the Marlins..

What little of my life is left needs to be kept safe from such
torture

The oldest brother

Patrick - your story of your night in NY reminded me of my drunken youth. Thank goodness we didnt have cell phones back then. Maybe you should get one of those janitor key rings and you can strap it to that so you wont lose it.
